In April of 2023, Atlanta claimed the #1 spot. And most recently, in November 2023, Atlanta came in at #2. So how are top ranks given, and what defines “rental activity?”
RentCafe.com’s Rental Activity Report is a monthly publication that can be found on their website. It takes into consideration the availability of units, listing views, units saved as favorites, and saved personalized searches for each city. This data is tracked over the 150 largest cities across the U.S. and based on the millions of interactions the website gets. So it is no small feat to consistently reach the top ten.
The site goes on to say about Atlanta, that “Renters have been intensely searching for apartments for rent in Atlanta, one of the South’s most dynamic tech hubs. Apart from locals looking for a new rental, out-of-state apartment hunters have also typed in the city’s name on RentCafe.com. Most of them come from New York City, Chicago and Orlando, FL.”
